Things to Consider When Purchasing Carpet Cleaning Machines

If you have a carpeted house, one of the appliances you should invest in is a carpet cleaning machine.  You need one of those carpet cleaning machines to keep your carpets in good, clean condition.

What you need to do to keep your carpets clean and new-looking all the time is to frequently run the carpet cleaning machine over them.  With carpet cleaning machines, your carpets are removed of 80% of soil that gets incorporated in the fibers of the carpet.

Which carpet cleaning machines are the best?  The one feature that you should mainly look at in carpet cleaning machines is the beater bar and brush.  A good one should have this.  This portion of the carpet cleaning machine should be adjusted to the correct carpet pile height in order to perform its function maximally.

Here are a few tips on what to look for in good carpet cleaning machines:

Because these carpet cleaning machines come in various makes and models, sometimes it can be difficult to choose which one will suit you best.  One good way of approaching this issue is to know ahead of time what your needs are when it comes to carpet cleaning, and the machine you choose should be able to answer all or almost all of these needs.

Consider the following aspects of carpet cleaning machines:

  1. Type:  What kind of carpets does this machine clean?
  2. Comfort:  How easy is it to use? To carry around?
  3. Noise Level:  Is it too loud?  Does its motor have insulated materials covering it, to produce less noise?
  4. Filtration:  Is it anti allergy?  Is the filter washable?
  5. Attachments:  Does it come with attachments that will allow me to clean all of my house?

Carpet Cleaning Machines come in a variety of models:

  1. Handheld

These are the smaller versions of the traditional carpet cleaning machines.  Usually they are battery-operated but some newer models are rechargeable.  They are good for difficult-to-reach spots such as corners.

  1. Upright

These are usually just for carpets only

  1. Canister

These are more all-around than the upright.   The disadvantage of this type is that it can be difficult to be mobile when using it.

  1. Stick/Broom

They look like uprights but with less power, because they are designed compact to fit in tight spaces.  Because of the weaker power, they are ideal for smaller homes.

Things to note when buying your carpet cleaning machine:

  • Ask more information about the vacuum’s airflow:  does it get easily plugged in?
  • Filtration systems in your carpet cleaning machine will increase the price of the machine but is efficient enough to get up to 99.97% of all particles.
  • The presence of a dust collector, whether disposable bag or a plastic canister, is ideal.
  • Metal carpet cleaning machines are more durable.
  • A longer cord is more flexible and good for tight spaces.  You also do not have to keep unplugging your machine to work in a different area.
  • The more attachments that come with it, the better.
